Course structure

Learning Outcome: Participants will be able to practice proactive thinking to envision a future outcome by identifying goals and gaps in knowledge to determine where they are (status), what they need to do (method) to get to their goals and what they need (resources) to achieve their goals.
Tools: Awareness, Outcome, Plan, Will
Learning Outcome: Participants will be able to identify the four types of risks: Process, Decisions, Relationships & Motivation and how to manage each one by providing a different solution.
Tools: Problem Types
Learning Outcome: Participants will be able to map the method to achieve their goal along a critical path: tasks that must be accomplished in order to get to the goal.
Tools: Critical Path, Urgent|Important, Calendar & Tasks
Learning Outcome: Participants will be able to identify what resources are required to run the critical path and provide sustainability to the strategy.
Tools: The Storyline Characters, Equipment, Skills, Deus Ex Machina
Learning Outcome: Participants will be required to peer review each other’s strategy and throw realistic scenarios at it for the strategist to identify critical weaknesses or inflexibilities.
Tools: Worst Case Scenario
Learning Outcome: Participants will the results of the peer review and draft a strategy for final presentation to their classmates. Case Study: Analyse and Prepare a Proactive Personal/ Professional/ Organisational Strategy.
